AUSTIN, TX — Officials at eBay on Wednesday announced its Austin expansion of Retail Revival, its global small business training program.
Recently recognized in Fortune’s Change the World list of corporate innovators committed to “doing well by doing good,” Retail Revival equips local retailers with the skills needed to thrive in today’s digital economy, officials said. Participating Retail Revival sellers receive comprehensive training, personalized coaching, and ongoing promotional support directly from eBay’s world-class customer service team. Since launching just last year, officials noted, the program has enabled 400+ small businesses to collectively generate nearly $13 million in revenue.
“For the past 10 years, eBay has held deep roots in Austin’s tech community and employed hundreds of local Texans,” company officials said in a press advisory. “Through the Retail Revival program, eBay continues to strengthen its commitment to the community and helps local businesses thrive in the ever-changing local economy by expanding their reach online.”
The application period opens on Wednesday, Aug. 28, and will close on Tuesday, Sept. 24. The program will kick off with a full day of training on Oct. 10 at eBay’s North Austin office.
